What are Home Teams?

Home Teams are small groups designed to connect people to Christ and to others at FloodGate. Home Teams are a great way to experience authentic Christian community and essential to spiritual growth.

Want to Host or Lead a Home Team?

Hosts: open their home to accommodate 10-15 people on a weekly schedule. Leaders: prepare provided study material, lead group through weekly study, & encourage group conversation & growth. Email us if you are interested in starting a group in your home.

Do I need anything?

Although it’s not required, it is highly recommended that you purchase the work book for our current curriculum. It’s also a good idea to bring your Bible & maybe a snack to share!

The God Anthology

by: Mark Batterson

More About The God Anthology:
Looking for a more God-centric and less topical approach to group Bible study? God Anthology by Mark Batterson guides groups on an exploration into six of the critical aspects of God’s character and personhood. In some respects, this study captures the essence of A.W. Tozer’s classic The Knowledge of the Holy for a new generation. But what makes God Anthology original is the way music and media are incorporated into the experience. National Community Church worship staff has written, composed, and arranged original music for each of the critical aspects of who God is. This experience will not only utilize these songs worshipfully, but will also integrate the use of QR codes, video, and other forms of media as well.

The six aspects of GOD’s character explored in this study include:

  • Mercy
  • Holiness
  • Mystery
  • Jealousy
  • Sovereignty
  • incomparability

Every day we have fears, concerns, and demands that distract our lives and compete for our attention. Before long, we begin to filter God’s character and nature through our experiences, creating a god in our image. So how do we define God based on . . . God . . . as He has revealed Himself to us in Scripture?

When we come to the end of every possible answer we can conceive, we are left with a choice. Do we believe that God is who He says He is? And do we believe that God is above everything and working through all things for our good and for His glory? God is far more wonderful and powerful and good and intimate than we ever dared dream.
